hatch. have recently created a Quality Sample of our CLiCs low-rise 1 bed apartment solution at the Barking Riverside development in East London.

The main contractor, L&Q, are considering a mixture of build options for this exciting urban regeneration project.

Located along the banks of the River Thames (east of Canary Wharf, City Airport and the Thames Barrier), covering 443 acres, Barking Riverside will include 10,800 new homes of mixed size and style. There is also provision for 65,000 square metres of commercial floor space for shopping, restaurants, cafés, community and leisure facilities, healthcare and schools. There are also plans for large open spaces, public squares and a brand new rail station with bus and river transport interchange providing excellent links to central London.

In 2021, the new Barking Riverside station will open, part of a £263 million extension to the London Overground. This will provide a major new artery into London’s transport network, bringing the City into easy reach and allowing residents to access major employment and cultural centres within just half an hour.
